My opinion about Transantiago is not very good in general, I think that the main idea of this new system is actually very good, because make the bus transportation and the metro train working together in a big system, is the best for city like Santiago, and pay less for take more combination, is a very good idea too. The only problem of this idea was the very bad calculation about the real capacity of the buses and the metro for the huge numbers of people. For that reason, in the beginning the city was collapsed because the metro can resist all the new people using the metro for combination whit the buses. Other operative problem was the confusion about the travel around the city of the different buses; also, the number of buses was dramatically down for make a change in the contamination of the city. Other problem was the GPS system, that never workout.
Now the people in general, is more “friendly” whit the system, are more buses in the street, and the metro make a lot of changes for make easier and less collapsed our travels. But I still think that this new system is the worst for the quality life, because the people are very tired whit the awful travels. I think the bicycle is the best choice, a city more friendly whit the bicyclists will be a very good idea I think.
